Saturday we’ll be supporting our brothers from different mothers, Leeches of Lore. They’ll be hitting the road on a 3 week tour and although we’re still pissed at them for not inviting us to join them, we’ll still rock a show and help them bank some cash for the road. Los Ojos Presents a day of cutting edge art and music representing some of the best kept secrets in Northern New Mexico.

The brand new outdoor venue will be featuring 5 hours of an eclectic blend of live music as well as 25 of the most creative artists from the Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Taos areas.

Food and alcohol will be available at shockingly low prices.

There will also be a supervised ‘Fun Zone’ for the kids where alcohol will not be permitted.

You can take the take the Railrunner to Bernalillo. Or, if you choose to drive, free parking will be available at the Bernalillo station. Sandoval Express will provide bus service directly to the event leaving at 11:30, 12:30, and 1:30. Return buses will leave the event beginning at 5:45PM. The cost of the bus ride ($2 round trip) will be refunded at the event box office with proof of purchase (bus ticket stub). There will also be free parking in Jemez Springs right next to the event.

NEBULA

Playing dirty rock and roll and primitive blues, psychedelic iconoclasts Nebula have earned a reputation as one of the most influential bands to emerge from the Los Angeles underground rock scene of the last two decades.

With a penchant for Fuzz-wah pedals, wild drums and debauchery, Nebula plays feedback-heavy, guitar-driven psychedelic rock in the tradition of The Stooges, MC5, Jimi Hendrix, and Cream–laced with the spaced out sounds and discord of Spaceman 3 and The Velvet Underground.

Formed by front-man Eddie Glass out of the ashes of Fu Manchu upon the band’s split in 1997, Nebula toured relentlessly in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia, playing alongside bands like Mudhoney, Iggy and the Stooges, Local H, The Hellacoptors and Queens of the Stone Age.

Nebula quickly gained a cult following in the burgeoning psych scene that was taking root in their hometown of Los Angeles and in music scenes abroad, paving the way for bands like Brian Jonestown Massacre, Dead Meadow, Black Angels, and Wolfmother.

In 2009, Nebula joined Tee Pee Records for the release of their latest LP, “Heavy-Psych”.

We had agreed to take a few months off with the arrival of a new SG baby around this time but the opportunity to open up for Nebula on a Saturday night proved too tempting.
